Description

A quick, yeast-free savory loaf loaded with sharp cheddar cheese and garlic for a high-protein, comforting treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Dried Thyme or Parsley
2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
2 large Eggs
1 cup Milk
1/3 cup Unsalted Butter, melted and cooled

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Step 2: Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and herbs in a large bowl.
Step 3: Toss the shredded cheddar cheese into the dry ingredients until coated.
Step 4: Mix eggs, milk, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
Step 5: Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
Step 6: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 7: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then move to a wire rack.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for better melting. Do not overmix the batter to avoid a tough loaf.
