A classic, golden-fried appetizer featuring seasoned chicken mince and fresh vegetables wrapped in a delicate, crispy shell.
Ingredients
2 cups chicken mince (300g)
1 cup cabbage finely shredded (80g)
1/2 cup carrot grated (60g)
1/2 cup spring onions chopped (50g)
1 tbsp garlic paste (15g)
1 tbsp soy sauce (15ml)
1 tbsp red chili sauce (15ml)
1/2 tsp black pepper (2g)
1/2 tsp crushed red chili (2g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1 tbsp oil (for filling)
20 spring roll sheets
500ml oil for frying
Instructions
Step 1: Sauté the garlic paste in 1 tablespoon of oil until fragrant.
Step 2: Add chicken mince and cook until fully browned and dry.
Step 3: Add cabbage and carrots, stir-frying until tender-crisp.
Step 4: Mix in soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
Step 5: Stir in spring onions and let the filling cool completely.
Step 6: Place filling on spring roll sheets and roll tightly, sealing with water.
Step 7: Deep fry in hot oil at 350°F until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
Ensure the filling is completely cold before wrapping to prevent the sheets from tearing or becoming soggy.
