Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
1 pinch kosher salt
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 jar (7.5 ounces) strawberry marshmallow creme
Instructions
Step 1: Beat the softened butter in a large bowl for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
Step 2: Gradually add the confectioners' sugar, beating on low speed until combined, then increase speed to medium for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Mix in the strawberry extract and kosher salt.
Step 4: Add the strawberry marshmallow creme and fold in gently, then mix on low speed for 30 seconds until just combined.
Step 5: Pipe or spread onto cooled cakes immediately.
Notes
Ensure butter is at room temperature but not too soft. If the frosting is too runny, chill for 20 minutes.
