Description

This comforting and easy Tater Tot Pizza Casserole combines crispy tater tots, savory ground beef, zesty pizza sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese, creating a family-friendly meal perfect for a busy weeknight.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
½ cup sliced pepperoni


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Step 3: Stir the pizza sauce into the cooked ground beef. Mix well to combine.
Step 4: Spread half of the frozen tater tots evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 5: Layer the ground beef and pizza sauce mixture over the tater tots.
Step 6: Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture, then arrange the sliced pepperoni on top.
Step 7: Add the remaining tater tots in a single layer over the pepperoni.
Step 8: Bake for 20 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and heated through.
Step 9: Remove the casserole from the oven, sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese, and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 10: Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef mixture. Serve with a fresh green salad to complete your meal.
