Description

A delightful combination of fresh tomato basil bruschetta and a versatile cheese platter, perfect for effortless entertaining on New Year's Eve.

Ingredients

Scale

1 French baguette, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups cherry tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup cheddar cheese, cubed
1 cup brie cheese, sliced
1/2 cup grapes

Instructions

Step 1: For the Bruschetta, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the sliced baguette on a baking sheet. Lightly brush each slice with olive oil.
Step 2: Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove from oven and set aside.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, combine the diced cherry tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, and minced garlic. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil, if desired, and stir gently to combine.
Step 4: To serve, spoon the tomato-basil mixture generously onto each toasted baguette slice.
Step 5: For the Cheese Platter, arrange the cubed cheddar cheese and sliced brie cheese artfully on a serving platter. Scatter the fresh grapes around the cheeses.
Step 6: Present both the Bruschetta and the Cheese Platter together for a festive and delicious New Year's Eve spread. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add other ingredients like olives, cured meats, or various fruit and nut pairings to your cheese platter. For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the bruschetta topping.
