Description
A fun, no-bake chocolate pudding dessert layered with crushed cookies and topped with chocolate almonds that look like footballs.
Ingredients
1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups cold whole milk
1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 package (14.3 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
8-10 chocolate-covered almonds
1 tube small white decorating icing or white frosting
Instructions
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate pudding mix and the cold milk. Whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken.
Step 2: Allow the pudding to sit for 5 minutes to set completely.
Step 3: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding using a spatula until well combined and light in color.
Step 4: Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a zip-top bag until they look like coarse dirt.
Step 5: In clear 9 oz cups, layer about 2 tablespoons of cookie crumbs followed by a thick layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat layers once more, finishing with a layer of cookie crumbs on top.
Step 6: Use the white decorating icing to pipe small laces onto the chocolate-covered almonds. Place one 'football' almond on top of each cup.
Step 7: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to ensure the Football Dirt Cups Recipe is perfectly chilled.
Notes
For a 'grass' effect, mix shredded coconut with green food coloring and sprinkle it on top of the 'dirt' before placing the football.
