Description

A delightful layered dessert featuring creamy yogurt, fresh mixed berries, and crunchy granola, perfect for a healthy breakfast or light treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1 cup granola (store-bought or homemade)
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Gently wash all your mixed berries under cool running water. Pat them thoroughly dry with a paper towel. If you're using strawberries, hull them (remove the green leafy tops) and slice them into bite-sized pieces for easier layering and enjoyment.
Step 2: Select clear glass cups, bowls, or jars. Clear containers are perfect for showcasing the vibrant layers of your parfait, adding to its visual appeal.
Step 3: Spoon a generous layer of Greek yogurt into the bottom of each prepared glass. Follow this with a layer of your fresh mixed berries, and then a layer of granola. This creates the foundational base of your parfait.
Step 4: Continue to build your parfait by repeating the layers: yogurt, then berries, then granola. Stack them until your glasses are full, ensuring the top layer is a beautiful arrangement of fresh berries.
Step 5: If you desire a touch more sweetness, lightly drizzle honey or maple syrup over the top layer of berries. This adds a lovely sheen and an extra depth of flavor.
Step 6: For an elegant finish and a burst of freshness, garnish each parfait with a few sprigs of fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately to enjoy the crisp granola, or chill for up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator before serving for a cooler treat.

Notes

For best results, assemble just before serving to keep granola crunchy. Can be made dairy-free with alternative yogurts. Adjust sweetness to taste.
