Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped turkey bacon and cook 5-7 minutes until crispy; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onion and cook 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
- Add chopped cabbage; cook 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly browned.
- Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes as desired.
- Return crispy bacon to skillet and stir to combine evenly.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve warm as a flavorful side dish.
Notes
Use regular bacon if preferred, adjusting cooking time accordingly. This dish can be made ahead and reheated. Add other vegetables or spices to customize flavor. For vegetarian version, omit bacon and use olive oil or butter.
