Frosted Blackberry Bourbon Mule

  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cocktail 1x
  • Diet: Alcoholic

Description

A refreshing and visually stunning cocktail featuring a vibrant blackberry puree, smooth bourbon, zesty lime, and spicy ginger beer, topped with crunchy garnishes.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup fresh blackberries (for puree)
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for puree)
1 tbsp lemon juice (for puree)
2 oz bourbon
1 oz lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 cup ginger beer
1/4 cup blackberry puree (prepared)
1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts, for topping)
1/4 cup granola (for topping)
Fresh blackberries (optional, for garnish)
Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Blackberry Puree. In a small saucepan, combine the fresh blackberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the blackberries break down and the mixture thickens into a syrup, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let the puree cool completely to room temperature.
Step 2: Assemble the Cocktail. In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and the cooled blackberry puree. Add a generous amount of ice and shake well for about 15-20 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
Step 3: Serve and Garnish. Strain the cocktail mixture into a copper mug or glass filled with fresh ice. Top with ginger beer and stir gently to combine.
Step 4: Add Toppings and Garnish. Garnish the top of your Frosted Blackberry Bourbon Mule with a sprinkle of chopped nuts and granola. For an extra touch of elegance and freshness, add a few fresh blackberries and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra chilly experience, pre-chill your serving mugs or glasses in the freezer. Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup.
