Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Roll Ups on Crescent Dough

  • Author: Fati
  • Total Time: 33 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

These Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Roll Ups combine the classic flavors of a bacon cheeseburger wrapped in flaky crescent dough, brushed with garlic-parsley butter for extra flavor. Perfect for parties, game day, or easy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (8 oz/225 g) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Extra ketchup, mustard, or pickle slices (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook chopped turkey bacon in skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic for 2–3 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook, breaking up meat, until no pink remains, about 5–6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and dill pickle relish; cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and fold in cooked bacon and ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Unroll crescent dough on floured surface into 9×12-inch rectangle, pressing perforations to seal.
  7. Spread beef-bacon-cheese mixture along long edge, leaving ½-inch border. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese over filling.
  8. Roll dough tightly away from you, seam side down. Cut into 8 equal pieces and place cut-side down on baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.
  9. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley; brush generously over roll-ups.
  10. Bake 15–18 minutes until dough is puffed and golden brown and cheese is melted.
  11. Let rest 2 minutes before serving warm with optional ketchup, mustard, or pickles.

Notes

Press dough seam firmly when rolling to prevent leaking. Avoid overfilling for neat rolls. Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 4 hours before baking. For crisper rolls, reheat leftovers in oven. Try variations with different meats, cheeses, or spicy add-ins.
