Description
These delightful Garlic Butter Beef Cheeseburger Rollups are a fun and easy-to-make dish, combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar, and flaky crescent roll dough, all infused with rich garlic butter.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough (such as Pillsbury)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook, breaking up the beef with a spoon, until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
Step 3: Stir in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 4: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Spoon a portion of the beef mixture onto the wider end of each crescent triangle. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
Step 5: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each crescent triangle, tucking in the sides as you go, to form a rollup. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 6: In a small bowl, combine melted butter with 1 clove of minced garlic (optional, for extra garlic flavor). Brush the tops of the rollups generously with the garlic butter.
Step 7: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted. If desired, brush with a little more garlic butter after baking.
Step 8: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if using, and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture. You can also add finely diced pickles or cooked bacon bits to the filling before rolling. Serve with ketchup, mustard, or a special burger sauce for dipping.
