Description
A quick and incredibly flavorful recipe for ramen noodles tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce, ready in minutes.
Ingredients
2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken stock (or vegetable broth)
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until the garlic turns a light golden brown and is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
Step 2: Pour in the chicken stock. Stir in the salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
Step 3: Add the ramen noodles (without the seasoning packet) to the skillet. Stir occasionally to prevent the noodles from sticking together. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring every 20-30 seconds to loosen the noodles, until they are tender.
Step 4: Continue cooking until most of the liquid has evaporated, leaving a small amount of stock to coat the noodles, creating a rich sauce.
Step 5: Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter and the chopped fresh parsley. Give it one last good stir to ensure everything is evenly coated before serving immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic. You can also add cooked protein like grilled chicken or a fried egg.
