Ingredients
2 slices artisan bread (sourdough, brioche, or challah)
2-3 ounces brie cheese, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons blackberry jam
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
Step 1: Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread with the softened unsalted butter.
Step 2: On the unbuttered side of one bread slice, spread the blackberry jam evenly.
Step 3: Arrange the thinly sliced brie cheese over the blackberry jam.
Step 4: Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing outwards.
Step 5: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Once warm, carefully place the sandwich into the pan.
Step 6: Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the brie cheese is thoroughly melted and gooey. You may need to adjust the heat to prevent burning.
Step 7: Remove from the pan, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately for the best experience.
