Description
A high-protein, low-carb, and incredibly crispy pizza crust made entirely from ground chicken and parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the ground chicken, Parmesan cheese, egg, and all seasonings. Mix thoroughly with a fork or your hands until well blended.
Step 3: Place the chicken mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Cover with another piece of parchment paper and press or roll into a circle or rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
Step 4: Remove the top layer of parchment paper and bake the crust for 20 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the meat is cooked through.
Step 5: Remove from the oven and carefully blot away any excess moisture with a paper towel if necessary.
Step 6: Add your desired pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes until the toppings are melted and bubbly.
Step 7: Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow the crust to set.
Notes
Ensure you use parchment paper to prevent sticking. For a crispier crust, you can flip the crust over halfway through the par-baking process.
