Ingredients
1 lb sausage
1 can biscuits (approx. 8 count)
1 packet gravy mix (e.g., country gravy mix)
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for topping)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Steamed vegetables (optional, for accompaniment)
Mashed potatoes (optional, for accompaniment)

Instructions
Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until thoroughly browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Step 2: Prepare the gravy mix according to the package instructions, using 1 cup of milk and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir until smooth and thickened. Pour the prepared gravy over the cooked sausage in the skillet, mixing well.
Step 3: Transfer the sausage and gravy mixture to an oven-safe pie dish or a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange the biscuits evenly on top of the sausage and gravy mixture.
Step 4: Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the pie filling is bubbly.
