Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
Step 3: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 4: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed or by hand until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Step 6: Gently fold in the milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Step 7: Use a 1/4 cup cookie scoop or your hands to form large dough balls (approximately 6 ounces each). Place 4-5 cookies per prepared baking sheet, leaving ample space between them.
Step 8: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and set, but the centers still look soft and slightly underbaked.
Step 9: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for at least 10 minutes before carefully transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
