Description
Crispy, golden-brown chicken pieces tossed in a decadent, sweet, and savory honey butter glaze.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup raw honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, toss the cubed chicken with cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until every piece is evenly coated.
Step 2: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 3: Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Wipe the skillet clean with a paper towel.
Step 4: Reduce heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Once bubbling, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5: Stir in the honey and soy sauce. Let the mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes until it thickens slightly into a glossy syrup.
Step 6: Return the crispy chicken to the skillet and toss quickly to coat every piece in the honey butter glaze. Remove from heat immediately.
Step 7: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over rice or as an appetizer.
Notes
For extra crunch, ensure the chicken is very dry before coating with cornstarch. Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear.
