Description
A simple yet irresistible side dish featuring sweet corn kernels coated in a luscious honey-butter cream cheese sauce.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
4 cups frozen corn (or fresh, cut from 4-5 ears)
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
Step 1: In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter and honey together over medium heat, stirring until well combined.
Step 2: Add the frozen corn to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is heated through and slightly tender.
Step 3: Reduce the heat to low. Add the softened cream cheese, salt, and black pepper to the skillet.
Step 4: Stir continuously until the cream cheese is fully melted and forms a smooth, creamy sauce that evenly coats all the corn kernels.
Step 5: Remove the skillet from the heat and serve your delicious Honey Butter Skillet Corn immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the corn. A sprinkle of fresh chopped chives or parsley just before serving adds a pop of color and fresh herbaceous notes.
