Description
An irresistible appetizer featuring warm, gooey brie, tart cranberries, sweet honey, and aromatic thyme baked into crusty sourdough.
Ingredients
1 sourdough loaf, sliced into 2.5 cm pieces
240g cranberries, fresh or dried
225g brie cheese, cut into small cubes
45ml honey
28g unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Arrange the sourdough slices evenly in a single layer in the prepared baking dish or on the baking sheet.
Step 3: Distribute the brie cheese cubes evenly over the sourdough slices.
Step 4: Scatter the cranberries (fresh or dried) over the brie and sourdough.
Step 5: Drizzle the honey evenly over the entire bake, followed by the melted unsalted butter.
Step 6: Sprinkle with fresh thyme (if using) and a pinch of salt.
Step 7: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbly, and the sourdough is lightly golden. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
Step 8: Remove from oven and serve warm immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
For an extra crunch, you can sprinkle a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts over the top before baking. Serve with extra honey on the side for those with a sweet tooth!
