Description

A perfectly balanced, creamy, and tangy honey mustard sauce made with simple pantry staples.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/4 cup liquid honey
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and classic yellow mustard.
Step 2: Whisk the mustards and mayo until the mixture is completely smooth and streak-free.
Step 3: Pour in the honey and lemon juice, then whisk vigorously until the sauce is emulsified.
Step 4: Season with a pinch of salt and cayenne pepper if using, then stir one last time.
Step 5: Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop before serving.

Notes

For a lower-fat version, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain non-fat Greek yogurt. Store in an airtight container for up to 14 days.
