Description
Deliciously sweet and spicy crispy chicken sliders topped with a hot honey glaze and melted cheese on buttery Hawaiian rolls.
Ingredients
1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
12 crispy breaded chicken tenders (cooked)
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 slices provolone or pepper jack cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Pickle slices (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey, hot sauce, vinegar, and garlic powder. Stir until well blended and warm.
Step 3: Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
Step 4: Place 3 slices of cheese over the bottom buns. Arrange the cooked crispy chicken tenders over the cheese.
Step 5: Drizzle half of the hot honey mixture over the chicken tenders. Add pickles if desired.
Step 6: Top with the remaining 3 slices of cheese and place the top half of the rolls on top.
Step 7: Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Step 8: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and buns are golden.
Notes
For extra spice, add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the honey glaze.
