Description
These vibrant Jerk Shrimp Tacos feature succulent, spicy jerk-seasoned shrimp paired with a fresh, sweet, and zesty pineapple salsa, all nestled in warm taco shells.
Ingredients
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp jerk seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup diced pineapple
1/2 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp chopped jalapeño (optional)
8 small taco shells
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
Fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)
Lime wedges (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with jerk seasoning and olive oil until well coated.
Step 2: Cook the shrimp in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
Step 3: In another bowl, combine the diced pineapple, diced red onion, chopped fresh cilantro, lime juice, and chopped jalapeño (if using). Mix until well combined.
Step 4: Fill the warmed taco shells with the cooked jerk shrimp, shredded cabbage, and pineapple salsa. Top with crumbled feta cheese.
Step 5: Garnish the tacos with fresh cilantro and lime wedges, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra crunch, lightly toast the taco shells before filling. If you like more heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the shrimp marinade.
