Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons lemon zest
1/2 cup whole milk
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
1 large egg (for filling)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Step 2: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Step 3: Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4: Add 2 eggs, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla, mixing well.
Step 5: Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture.
Step 6: In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 egg until smooth.
Step 7: Layer half the lemon batter, then the cream cheese mixture, then the rest of the batter.
Step 8: Gently swirl with a knife and bake for 60 minutes.
Step 9: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then move to a wire rack.
