Description

Indulge in an ultimate comfort food experience with crusty bread bowls filled with creamy Alfredo, tender chicken, crispy bacon, and melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

4 round artisan bread bowls
2 cups cooked shredded chicken
8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 cups creamy Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
1 teaspoon garlic powder
0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Carefully cut a circular lid from the top of each bread bowl. Gently hollow out the soft interior bread, leaving a sturdy 1/2-inch thick shell. Reserve the removed bread if desired.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, Alfredo sauce, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
Step 4: Evenly spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture into each hollowed-out bread bowl, filling them generously.
Step 5: Place the filled bread bowls onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella and additional grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each bread bowl.
Step 6: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread bowls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, melted, and lightly browned.
Step 7: Carefully remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For an even quicker prep, use leftover rotisserie chicken. Toasting the hollowed bread bowls for a few minutes before filling can help prevent them from getting soggy.
