Description

A fun and savory appetizer featuring creamy ranch chicken, crispy bacon, and sharp cheddar, all baked inside a crispy waffle cone, perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale

12-16 savory or plain waffle cones
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
8 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crumbled crispy bacon, softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and 1 cup of the shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is creamy.
Step 3: Carefully spoon the chicken and bacon mixture into each waffle cone, filling them generously but not overpacking.
Step 4: Place the filled waffle cones upright in the holes of a muffin tin. If you don't have a muffin tin, you can use a baking dish and use crumpled aluminum foil to help them stand steadily.
Step 5: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the tops of the filled cones.
Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the cones are lightly toasted and warm.
Step 7: Carefully remove from the oven and let cool for a minute or two before serving, as the filling will be very hot. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use pre-cooked chicken (like rotisserie chicken) to save time. You can prepare the filling a day ahead and store it in the refrigerator. Just before baking, fill the cones and proceed with the recipe. Don't overfill the cones to prevent spillage during baking.
