Description

A restaurant-quality side dish featuring tender broccoli florets tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce and topped with aged Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
1.5 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Step 1: Cut the broccoli into uniform florets and wash thoroughly.
Step 2: Steam the broccoli for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
Step 3: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Stir in the salt, black pepper, onion powder, and lemon juice into the butter mixture.
Step 5: Add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter.
Step 6: Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use olive oil instead of butter. Ensure the garlic does not brown to avoid bitterness.
