Description

A decadent, smoky, and sweet cheese dip featuring crispy bacon, sharp cheddar, and a hint of Kentucky bourbon.


Ingredients

8 oz Bacon
8 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 cup Sour Cream
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
2 tbsp Bourbon
2 tbsp Green Onions
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Smoked Paprika


Instructions

Step 1: Slice 8 oz of bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Step 2: In a large bowl, mix 8 oz of softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sour cream until smooth.
Step 3: Stir in 1/4 cup maple syrup, 2 tbsp bourbon, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp smoked paprika.
Step 4: Fold in 6 oz of the shredded sharp cheddar cheese and half of the cooked bacon.
Step 5: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining 2 oz of cheddar and the rest of the bacon.
Step 6: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Step 7: Garnish with 2 tbsp of sliced green onions and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure all dairy ingredients are at room temperature before mixing to prevent lumps. For a non-alcoholic version, replace bourbon with 1 tsp of vanilla extract or bourbon extract.
