Description

This Maple Brown Butter Peach Pie combines velvety pie crust, sweet and tangy peach filling, and creamy toppings for a decadent dessert perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 3-4 tbsp ice water
  • 4 cups sliced peaches
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (for topping)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine flour and salt. Add chilled butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add ice water and pulse until dough comes together. Form into disk, wrap, and refrigerate 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out dough and press into greased pie dish. Crimp edges and refrigerate until ready.
  4. In a bowl, combine peaches, brown sugar, maple syrup, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
  5. Pour peach filling into prepared crust.
  6. In saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup.
  7. Drizzle brown butter topping over peach filling.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45-50 minutes until crust is golden and filling bubbly.
  9. Garnish with vanilla ice cream and fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Chill pie crust before baking for best texture. Serve on a fancy cake stand for impressive presentation.
