Ingredients
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust, chilled
2 cups pecan halves
3 large eggs
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
Step 2: Spread the pecan halves on a baking sheet and toast them for 5-7 minutes until fragrant, then set aside.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.
Step 4: Add the dark brown sugar, pure maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt to the eggs, whisking until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Step 5: Arrange the toasted pecans in the bottom of the chilled pie crust.
Step 6: Pour the maple brown sugar mixture over the pecans, ensuring they are evenly coated and distributed.
Step 7: Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack for at least 4 hours before slicing.
