Description
Crispy air-fried wraps packed with seasoned ground beef and gooey melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese, perfect for a quick meal or snack.
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup (50 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 Tbsp chopped green onions
Salt & black pepper, to taste
8 flour tortillas (6-8 inch)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 375 °F (190 °C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Warm each flour tortilla for 10–15 seconds on a hot skillet or in the microwave to make them pliable. Stack them under a damp towel to keep them moist.
Step 2: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease, then return to the pan. Stir in minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; cook 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat and fold in chopped green onions.
Step 3: Lay one tortilla flat. Spoon ~â…“ cup beef mixture in a line down the center. Top with 2 Tbsp shredded cheddar and 1 Tbsp mozzarella. Fold sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom. Seal the edge with a dab of cream cheese or egg wash if needed.
Step 4: Place wraps seam-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket; do not overcrowd. Cook at 375 °F for 6 minutes. Flip and cook an additional 2 minutes, until golden-brown and cheese is fully melted. Remove and let rest 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of chili powder to the beef mixture or serve with a side of jalapeños. These wraps are also great with a variety of dipping sauces like chipotle mayo or fry sauce.
