A sweet and savory twist on the classic grilled cheese using soft Hawaiian rolls and a buttery garlic topping.
Ingredients
12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
1/2 cup salted butter, melted
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
Step 2: Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating individual rolls.
Step 3: Place the bottom half in the pan and layer generously with the cheddar and mozzarella mix.
Step 4: Cover with the top half of the rolls.
Step 5: Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley; brush over the tops of the rolls.
Step 6: Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake for 10 more minutes until golden and melty.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce inside the rolls before baking.
