No Bake Snickers Bars with Crunch and Butterscotch

Description

Sweet, crunchy no-bake bars layered with crispy cereal, creamy peanut butter, gooey caramel, rich chocolate, and chopped peanuts for the perfect indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup corn syrup or honey
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1½ cups caramel bits or soft caramels, melted with 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine peanut butter, corn syrup (or honey), and granulated sugar. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to bubble.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in Rice Krispies cereal and chopped peanuts while mixture is warm until evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish and let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Melt caramel bits with 2 tablespoons milk in microwave or on stove until smooth. Pour evenly over the base layer.
  7. Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread evenly over the caramel layer.
  8. Refrigerate bars for 1 to 2 hours until fully set.

Notes

Use parchment paper for easy removal and slicing. Chill bars fully for clean slices. Caramel bits melt best, but chopped soft caramels work well too. Bars keep refrigerated up to 1 week and freeze well.
