Description

A quick and easy one-pan dinner featuring tender ranch-seasoned potatoes, savory smoked sausage, and melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs baby red potatoes, quartered
14 oz smoked beef sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
2 tbsp olive oil
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 2: On a large baking sheet, combine the quartered baby red potatoes and sliced smoked sausage.
Step 3: Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with the ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until well coated.
Step 4: Spread the seasoned potatoes and sausage into a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan for best browning.
Step 5: Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and lightly browned, flipping the mixture halfway through cooking.
Step 6: Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the potatoes and sausage.
Step 7: Return to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 8: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the seasonings. Feel free to swap smoked beef sausage for turkey, chicken, or kielbasa.
