Description

A creamy, cheesy, and incredibly easy one-pot pasta bake featuring tender cheese tortellini, fresh spinach, and rich ricotta cheese.


Ingredients

1 lb cheese tortellini
2 cups fresh spinach
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for topping)
Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Red pepper flakes (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
Step 2: In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine the marinara sauce, heavy cream, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Add the cooked tortellini, fresh spinach, ricotta cheese, the first 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped fresh basil to the sauce. Stir gently until all ingredients are well combined and the spinach has wilted and the mixture is creamy.
Step 4: Remove from heat. Garnish the dish generously with the remaining 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley. If desired, add fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious one-pot bake!

Notes

For best results, ensure the tortellini is coated thoroughly with the sauce. You can easily add cooked chicken or sausage for a heartier, non-vegetarian version.
