Description
A refreshing and aromatic citrus mocktail featuring fresh squeezed orange juice and a homemade rosemary-infused simple syrup.
Ingredients
4 large oranges, juiced (approx 1 cup)
2 sprigs fresh rosemary for the drink
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 sprigs fresh rosemary for the syrup
Sparkling water or club soda to top
Ice cubes
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the rosemary simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar in a small saucepan. Add 3 rosemary sprigs.
Step 2: Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 3: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the rosemary steep in the syrup for 20-30 minutes. Once cooled, strain the syrup into a glass jar.
Step 4: Juice the fresh oranges until you have approximately 1 cup of juice. Strain the pulp if desired.
Step 5: Fill two tall glasses with ice. Pour 2 tablespoons of the rosemary syrup and 1/2 cup of orange juice into each glass.
Step 6: Top with sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
Step 7: Garnish each orange rosemary drink recipe with a fresh rosemary sprig and an orange slice before serving.
Notes
For a lower calorie version, replace the sugar in the syrup with a monk fruit sweetener.
