Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Liquid food coloring: pink, blue, purple, yellow
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2: Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
Step 3: Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4: Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 5: Mix in dry ingredients on low speed, then fold in chocolate chips.
Step 6: Divide dough into four bowls; tint each with a different food color.
Step 7: Combine small pinches of each color into a marbled ball and place on baking sheet.
Step 8: Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set. Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for more intense colors without altering the dough consistency. Do not overmix the marbled balls to keep colors distinct.
