Peach Cobbler Recipe: Simple, Sweet, and Irresistible

  • Author: Fati
  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Description

A comforting Southern dessert featuring juicy peaches topped with a buttery, golden crust, perfect for any season.

Ingredients

  • Fresh or canned peaches
  • Granulated sugar
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking powder
  • Milk
  • Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare peaches: peel, core, and slice fresh peaches or drain canned peaches. Cook peaches with sugar and salt on medium heat until sugar dissolves, then remove from heat.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice butter into small pieces and place into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Melt butter in the oven while preheating, then remove dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until just combined.
  4. Pour batter over melted butter in the baking dish, smoothing the surface.
  5. Spoon peach mixture evenly over the batter and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 38-40 minutes until top is golden brown and juices are bubbling.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Let cobbler cool a few minutes to thicken juices. Cover with foil if top browns too fast. Use ripe peaches for best flavor. Store leftovers in fridge for 4-5 days.
