Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup neutral vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
3 large eggs, room temperature
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
Step 2: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Step 3: Cream butter and sugars until fluffy, then mix in peanut butter and oil.
Step 4: Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
Step 5: Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Step 6: Pour into pans and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 7: Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
