Description
This delightful flatbread combines the sweetness of ripe pears, the creaminess of brie, and the tartness of cranberry sauce, all infused with fresh thyme.
Ingredients
1 (250 g) store-bought flatbread or naan
1 tablespoon (15 mL) olive oil
1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
4 oz (115 g) brie cheese, thinly sliced
¼ cup (60 mL) whole berry cranberry sauce
1-2 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves picked, plus more for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 2: Place the flatbread or naan on a baking sheet. Brush the surface lightly with olive oil.
Step 3: Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
Step 4: Arrange the thinly sliced pear over the cranberry sauce, followed by the slices of brie cheese.
Step 5: Sprinkle the picked fresh thyme leaves over the cheese and pears.
Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Step 7: Carefully remove from the oven. Garnish with additional fresh thyme sprigs, if desired.
Step 8: Let cool for a few minutes before slicing into wedges or squares and serving warm.
Notes
For an extra touch, drizzle a little balsamic glaze over the finished flatbread before serving. Walnuts or pecans can also be added for crunch.
