Ingredients
1 large gingerbread cake, cubed
5 Bosc pears, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups water
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
3 cups vanilla custard
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Crystallized ginger for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the gingerbread cake according to your favorite recipe and allow it to cool completely before cutting into 1-inch cubes.
Step 2: In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and grated ginger to create the poaching liquid for your pear gingerbread trifle recipe.
