Description

A rich and festive pecan pie cheesecake trifle combining classic Southern flavors with creamy indulgence, perfect for Thanksgiving and special gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Crust Layer: 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Cheesecake Layer: 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped topping (tub)
  • Pecan Pie Layer: 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make the crust by mixing crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers with melted butter; press firmly into the bottom of a trifle dish.
  2. Prepare the cheesecake mixture by beating softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  4. Cook the pecan topping by combining brown sugar, corn syrup, heavy cream, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Stir constantly for 5–7 minutes until mixture bubbles and thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in chopped pecans and vanilla extract; let cool slightly.
  7. Assemble the trifle by layering crust, cheesecake layer, and pecan topping.
  8. Repeat layers as desired, finishing with pecan topping on top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Garnish with extra whipped cream and pecans if desired.

Notes

Chill the trifle for at least 2 hours to let layers set. Use clear glassware to showcase layers. Avoid adding hot pecan topping to prevent melting the cheesecake layer. Variations include adding mini chocolate chips or using gluten-free crackers.
