Description
A refreshing and colorful twist on the classic margarita featuring sweet pineapple juice and muddled fresh blueberries.
Ingredients
2 oz silver tequila
1 oz triple sec or Cointreau
2 oz fresh pineapple juice
1 oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz simple syrup or agave nectar
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
Ice cubes
Salt or sugar for the rim (optional)
Pineapple wedge and blueberries for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Muddle the fresh blueberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker until fully crushed.
Step 2: Add tequila, triple sec, pineapple juice, lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
Step 3: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
Step 4: Rim a glass with lime and salt/sugar if desired, then fill with fresh ice.
Step 5: Double strain the margarita into the glass to remove berry pulp.
Step 6: Garnish with a pineapple wedge and extra blueberries, then serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality 100% agave tequila for the smoothest flavor. For a mocktail, replace tequila with club soda.
