Description
A dazzling and delicious frozen drink featuring two vibrant layers of sweet pineapple and tart strawberry, swirled together for the ultimate summer refreshment.
Ingredients
For the Pineapple Slush:
2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
1/4 cup water or coconut water
1 tablespoon lime juice
1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
For the Strawberry Slush:
2 cups frozen strawberries
1/4 cup water or coconut water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pineapple Slush: In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen pineapple chunks, 1/4 cup water or coconut water, lime juice, and 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup. Blend until completely smooth and slushy. If needed, add an additional tablespoon of liquid at a time to achieve the desired consistency, being careful not to make it too thin. Pour the pineapple slush into a separate bowl and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Strawberry Slush: Rinse your blender. Add the frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup water or coconut water, lemon juice, and 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup to the blender. Blend until completely smooth and slushy, similar to the pineapple mixture. Add more liquid if necessary.
Step 3: Assemble the Swirled Slushies: Take two serving glasses. Alternate spoonfuls of the pineapple slush and the strawberry slush into each glass. For a beautiful swirl effect, you can gently use a spoon or knife to lightly swirl the two colors together once the glass is full, being careful not to overmix.
Step 4: Serve Immediately: Garnish with fresh pineapple wedges or strawberries if desired, and serve immediately with a spoon or wide straw to enjoy your refreshing Pineapple Strawberry Swirled Slushies.
Notes
For an extra frosty treat, chill your serving glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before pouring. Adjust sweetener to your preference based on the ripeness of your fruit. For a thinner slush, add a splash more liquid; for a thicker one, add a few more frozen fruit chunks.
