Description

A legendary 3-ingredient side dish featuring crispy roasted potatoes coated in a savory onion soup seasoning mix.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 envelope (1.0 oz) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1/3 cup vegetable or olive oil
Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a large rimmed baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with cooking spray.
Step 2: Wash and peel the potatoes (if desired), then cut them into uniform 1-inch cubes. Pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure maximum crispiness.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the potato chunks and the oil. Toss well until every piece of potato is evenly coated.
Step 4: Sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup mix over the potatoes. Toss again until the seasoning is distributed across all the potatoes.
Step 5: Spread the potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they are not overlapping to allow for proper air circulation.
Step 6: Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the pan from the oven and flip the potatoes with a spatula. Return to the oven and bake for another 15-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if using. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For extra crispiness, do not crowd the pan. Use two baking sheets if necessary.
