  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Powdered sugar (optional)
  • Fresh berries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
  2. Toss French bread cubes in the egg mixture to coat evenly.
  3. Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread half of the French toast mixture in a greased baking dish.
  5. Dollop cream cheese filling over the French toast mixture.
  6. Top with remaining French toast mixture.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Garnish with maple syrup, chopped pecans, powdered sugar, and fresh berries if desired. Serve immediately.
