- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Powdered sugar (optional)
- Fresh berries (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
- Toss French bread cubes in the egg mixture to coat evenly.
- Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Spread half of the French toast mixture in a greased baking dish.
- Dollop cream cheese filling over the French toast mixture.
- Top with remaining French toast mixture.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
- Garnish with maple syrup, chopped pecans, powdered sugar, and fresh berries if desired. Serve immediately.
