Description
A sophisticated, non-alcoholic sangria-style pitcher drink made with deep red grape juice, fresh citrus, and sparkling water.
Ingredients
4 cups 100% Concord red grape juice
1 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 orange, thinly sliced into rounds
1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds
1 cup fresh blueberries or blackberries
1 cup sliced strawberries
2 cups sparkling mineral water or ginger ale (chilled)
Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Ice cubes
Instructions
Step 1: In a large glass pitcher, combine the red grape juice, orange juice, and lime juice. Stir well to mix the base of your red grape mocktail sangria style pitcher.
Step 2: Add the sliced oranges, lemons, strawberries, and blueberries directly into the juice mixture. Use a long spoon to gently press some of the fruit against the side of the pitcher to release a bit of juice.
Step 3: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to macerate.
Step 4: Just before serving the red grape mocktail sangria style pitcher, pour in the chilled sparkling mineral water or ginger ale and stir gently to combine.
Step 5: Fill individual glasses with ice and pour the red grape mocktail sangria style pitcher over the ice, ensuring each glass gets a generous portion of the soaked fruit.
Step 6: Garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig and serve immediately.
Notes
For a less sweet version, use sparkling water instead of ginger ale. For a deeper flavor, let the fruit sit in the juice overnight in the fridge.
