Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup natural cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp red gel food coloring
2 large eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a square pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Whisk melted butter, 1 cup sugar, and cocoa powder in a large bowl.
Step 3: Add eggs, vanilla, and food coloring; whisk until well combined.
Step 4: Fold in flour and salt until just combined.
Step 5: In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, 2 tbsp sugar, and egg yolk.
Step 6: Spread brownie batter in pan, reserving a little; dollop cream cheese mixture on top and swirl with a toothpick.
Step 7: Bake for 25-30 minutes and allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to prevent lumps in the swirl.
