Description
Luxurious bite-sized appetizers featuring a creamy shrimp and lump crab filling wrapped in buttery crescent dough.
Ingredients
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 lb lump crab meat, picked over for shells
1/2 lb medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely minced
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, minced shrimp, lump crab, garlic, green onions, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix until creamy and well combined.
Step 3: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 16 smaller triangles.
Step 4: Scoop about a tablespoon of the seafood mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough towards the point, ensuring the filling is fully enclosed.
Step 5: Pinch all seams tightly to prevent leaking during baking. Place the bombs on the prepared baking sheet spaced 2 inches apart.
Step 6: Brush the tops of each bomb with melted butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Step 7: Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and flaky. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of hot sauce or a dash of cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
