Description
A comforting and easy-to-make remedy for sore throats and common colds, packed with natural ingredients like honey, lemon, and ginger.
Ingredients
1/2 cup honey
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground ginger or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp dried chamomile or dried peppermint tea or your favorite calming herbal blend
Optional: pinch of black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption
Silicone mold or ice cube tray
Instructions
Step 1: In a small bowl, combine the honey, fresh lemon juice, ground ginger (or grated fresh ginger), ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, and optional pinch of black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Step 2: Gently fold in the dried chamomile, peppermint, or your chosen herbal tea blend. Ensure the tea leaves are evenly distributed throughout the honey mixture.
Step 3: Carefully spoon the mixture into a silicone mold or an ice cube tray. Fill each cavity about two-thirds full to allow for expansion if using larger molds.
Step 4: Place the mold in the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until the tea bombs are firm. Alternatively, you can refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Step 5: Once firm, pop the tea bombs out of the mold. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Step 6: To enjoy, drop one Honey Lemon Ginger Tea Bomb into a mug. Pour 8-10 ounces of hot water over it and stir until dissolved. Sip and enjoy the soothing warmth!
Notes
For an extra immune boost, consider adding a tiny dash of cayenne pepper. Adjust ginger and lemon to your taste preference. For best results, use a high-quality, local honey.
