Instructions

Step 7: Make buttercream by beating butter, sugar, and cream; tint blue with gel coloring.
Step 8: Stack and frost the cake, applying a crumb coat then a final smooth layer.
Step 9: Mix cocoa and vanilla extract to create a liquid speckling paint.
Step 10: Use a brush to flick the cocoa mixture onto the cake for the speckled effect.
